JR Performance is a classic car restoration garage selling and servicing a variety of vehicles.
As a small and family-run business, JR Performance is known in the UK classic car community for working with specific car models - in particular the Jaguar MK series from the 1950s. I was tasked with creating a badge logo that would fit in with the car emblems of that time period.

Creating an Emblem
With Mercedes, Jaguar, and Aston Martin being the key car brands JR Performance work with and inspire, it was important to create a badge emblem for the brand that gave a nod to these leaders of the automotive industry, whilst also creating an identity that could be applied to both digital, print and merchandise.
Colours
Continuing with the vintage theme, JR Performance's colour palette was derived from manufacturing automotive paint chips from the 1960's to 1980's with a gradient applied to create a metallic effect, much like one would see on a car's paint work.
